Health care

Besides its work in the field of renewable energy and sustainability, Europressedienst also turns to other areas of social interest on a regular basis such as the effects of demographic aging. Our focus is particularly on health care issues in the wider context of the labour world as well as on issues related to corporate health care and medication supplies on the pharmaceuticals market.

Europressedienst has constructed detailed data bases from self-provided surveys and research that center around the following topics:

Health care management

What are the industry’s efforts to keep its employees in good health? This question and others are at the core of corporate health care management. Europressedienst seeks the active dialogue in order to develop and implement strategies and identify new trends around the population processes in today’s society. The end of the 35-hour workweek with full compensation and the lifting of the pension age to 67 years are two important examples of the challenges that companies in Germany are meanwhile facing.

Pharmaceutical trade

People’s health is depending increasingly on the development of new medication. Risks and side effects naturally lead to scepticism on the consumer side. Better accessibility and a lack of transparency on the internet are opening the gates for drug and medication abuse. Constant changes due to reforms and the increasing cost pressure give rise to further uncertainties on the consumer level.

Pharmacy market

In the last years, a broad range of pharmacy chains and marketing organisations have become active around the 22,000 German pharmacies and increasingly challenge the image of the traditional pharmaceutical dispensary. Rebate contracts with health insurers and cooperation models that often stretch the bounds of legality are exerting a mounting pressure on the market. At the same time, the political decision-making is often far from the actual consumer requirements and has created frameworks that are neither effective nor cost-efficient. Understandably, the patients struggle with the low levels of transparency. The example of the swine flue revealed many of the weaknesses of the system. Misjudgements and misleading information caused widespread uncertainty, which is likely to have a negative impact on similar cases in the future.

Consumers

This area comprises the entire spectrum of consumer-related topics. Customers interested in data on the buying behaviour of internet users or topics related to eco-travel, for example, will find that Europressedienst combines facts and research in articles always tailored to their specific requirements.
